Why do I need rubber bands?
Rubber bands (or orthodontic elastics) are put on braces to correct bite alignment, coordinate how your upper and lower jaws fit together, and provide extra pulling force where wires alone are not enough.
Consistency: Wear them constantly (usually 24/7 except when eating and brushing) because skipping them lets your teeth drift back, making your treatment take much longer.
